Oracle Art
Attempted Suppression, 48”x36”, 2022
Long before I learned to use dowsing rods to channel, it came naturally. Paint brushes and palette knives, were my rods and my frequency of choice - color.
I was a toddler in the late 80s and early 90s when Bob Ross would come on PBS shortly after Sesame Street. Even at this young age, I was inspired by his gentle landscapes and the easy feeling emanating from the cadence of his voice. I watched him most days. I would tape pieces of construction paper under the tv and “paint” with him with whatever we had on hand, usually Crayola watercolors. I have chased that peaceful feeling into adulthood. My need to paint grew to become as necessary as a balanced diet and exercise.
